Qualche giorno fa il nostro Andrea “Il Franzoso”, in uno dei suoi interessantissimi articoli che regalano sempre numerosi spunti di riflessione, si (e ci) chiedeva che fine farà Motorola, la casa che insieme a Nokia ha creato la telefonia mobile. Dopo l’aquisizione della sezione “mobile” da parte di Google tutti le nostre scimmie si sono scatenate nella famosa danza aspettando i fenomenali dispositivi che tale “santa alleanza” avrebbe dovuto sfornare. Invece? Invece nulla! Appurato che la motivazione principale che ha spinto Big G all’acquisto era quella dell’acquisizione dell’enorme parco brevetti detenuto dalla casa americana per difendersi dalle numerose accuse di violazione, resta da capire quale sia la strada che Motorola ha deciso di percorrere. La prima impressione è che la confusione regni sovrana nella “stanza dei bottoni”; non si spiegherebbe altrimenti l’incredibile sequela di annunci, smentite, ritardi, mancati aggiornamenti e problemi degli ultimi mesi. L’ultimo, in ordine di tempo riguarda l’ormai fantomatico Droid RAZR HD, dato come imminente da qualche mese e mai arrivato negli stores; contrariamente a quanto annunciato non ci sarà la versione MAXX con batteria maggiorata (ci sarà solo la versione da 2530 mAh), la fotocamera sarà da 8 Mpx invece dei 13 promessi, il processore sarà “solo” un dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 (per il supporto alle reti LTE Verizon) da 1,5 GHz e la versione di Android sarà ancora ICS con Jelly Bean “promesso” per i primi mesi del 2013. Sembra garantito lo slot per MicroSD ma, onestamente, qualcuno si fida ancora?

Motorola, how much confusion…

The last in order of time is that of the now elusive Droid RAZR HD, given how imminent from a few months and never arrived in stores; contrary to what was announced there will be no MAXX version with more powerful battery (there is only a version from 2530 mAh), the camera will be 8 megapixel instead of the 13 promised, the processor will “only” a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 (for the Verizon LTE network support) and the Android version will be still ICS with Jelly Bean “promised” for the first few months of 2013. It seems guaranteed the MicroSD slot, but honestly, someone of you still trust?
