Una delle scelte volte al contenimento del prezzo del Nexus 7 è stata quella di rinunciare alla fotocamera posteriore mentre è stata mantenuta quella frontale per permettere le videochiamate. Adesso, grazie agli sviluppatori di XDA che hanno sviluppato un’apposita mod, sarà possibile abilitare la registrazione a 720p; ovviamente, trattandosi di una fotocamera da 1,2 Mpx, non ci si potranno aspettare miracoli ma il risultati non sono male. Oltretutto, grazie a launcher specifici reperibili sullo Store, sarà possibile anche scattare fotografie come con qualsiasi altro tablet.
