In contrasto con quanto vi ho riportato negli articoli “americani”, arrivano gli ultimi dati relativi alla crescita continua di Android OS nei mercati mondiali. Secondo IDC, una delle più importanti società di analisi di mercato al mondo, il sistema operativo di Mountain View ha raggiunto il 59% delle vendite mondiali, una crescita del 23% rispetto all’anno precedente. Al secondo posto si piazza iOS con il 23% dopo che l’anno scorso, sommando le vendite di iPhone 4 e 4S aveva raggiunto il 54%. La crescita di Android è pari al 145% anno dopo anno, quasi tutto a spese di BB OS e Symbian (quindi Nokia) che scende dal 26% del Q1 2011 ad un drammatico 6,8%. Samsung si dimostra leader assoluta del mercato Android con oltre il 45% delle vendite, legate all’enorme successo della serie Galaxy (soprattutto Note e S2) e con l’imminente arrivo del Galaxy S3 il trend non potrà che crescere ancora.

Android OS, growth goes on

In contrast to what I have reported in my “american2 articles, here it is the latest data on the continued growth of Android OS in the world markets. According to IDC, a leading world market analyst society, Mountain View’s operating system reached 59% of worldwide sales, an increase of 23% over the previous year. Second place for iOS with 23% after that last year, adding up the sales of both iPhone 4 and 4S had reached 54%. The growth of Android is equal to 145% year after year, almost all at the expense of BB and Symbian OS (Nokia then) down from 26% in Q1 2011 in a dramatic 6.8%. Samsung is absolutely market leader for Android with over 45% of sales, related to the enormous success of the Galaxy (especially Note and S2) and the imminent arrival of the Galaxy S3, trend will only grow further.
