Buongiorno a tutti dalla Grande Mela: fedele al motto “New York never sleeps” (La città che non dorme mai) approfitto dell’ora (qui sono quasi le sette del mattino) per cominciare a parlare del progetto che mi frulla nella mente e che vi ho anticipato molto velatamente l’altro ieri. La mia idea era quella di, se sarà possibile, visitare gli store dei principali provider americani At&t, Sprint e Verizon, per intervistare il personale e/o i responsabili e tastare così il polso del loro mercato. Capire se tutte le notizie che ci arrivano sempre di seconda mano sono vere, se Android OS ha veramente conquistato il mercato statunitense, le impressioni sul prossimo iPhone, i gusti e gli usi degli utenti americani che, come noto, sono un po’ diversi dai nostri. Da una prima passeggiata dalle parti di Ground Zero (di cui vi mostro la nuova Freedom Tower che nasce e cresce al posto delle famosi Torri gemelle) vi posso solo dire che il numero di iPhone in mano alla gente è qualcosa di incredibile: su dieci smartphone almeno sette sono Apple. Mi credereste se vi dicessi che ho contato giusto un paio di HTC ed altrettanti Samsung motorizzati by Google? Altrettanto incredibile è il numero di iPad; credo di essere l’unico a New York ad utilizzare un tablet Android Ovviamente conto sul vostro aiuto per stilare una sorta di elenco domande che possa soddisfare la nostra voglia di conoscere meglio questo strano mondo americano. Sempre se non ci saranno problemi ripeterò la stessa cosa anche in California, dopo aver affrontato (e spero risolto) i miei problemi alla schiena. Aspetto i vostri suggerimenti. Four steps in New York…

Hello to all from the Big Apple: respectingto the motto “New York never sleeps”  i use time (there are almost seven in the morning) to begin to talk about the project that whirls me in mind and that I anticipated you briefly a couple of days ago. My idea was, if possible, visit the store of the major U.S. providers, AT & T, Sprint and Verizon, to interview the staff and / or managers and thus feel the pulse of their market. Understand whether all the news we always come second-hand are true, if Android OS has truly conquered the U.S. market, the impressions on the next iPhone, tastes and habits of American consumers who, as noted, are a bit ‘different from our. From a first walk by the parties at Ground Zero (of which I show you the new Freedom Tower born and raised in place of the famous Twin Towers) I can only say that the number of iPhones in the hands of the people is something incredible: ten smartphones Apple is at least seven. I believe if I told you that I counted just a couple of HTC and Samsung as many motorized by Google?
