Quando lo scorso autunno Motorola ha lanciato il nuovo RAZR, ha dato il via alla corsa al “minimo spessore” possibile per un dispositivo mobile anche a costo di scelte non pienamente convincenti come quella della batteria inamovibile (salvo poi lanciare la versione MAXX scatenando il disappunto di chi aveva acquistato la prima versione). I produttori si sono subito gettati all’inseguimento ed oggi vi presento quello che, senza timore di smentite, con soli 6,7 mm, almeno per ora, è il più sottile smartphone al mondo: NEC Medias ES N-05D, nome lunghissimo in confronto al ridotto spessore. NEC, con i modelli P4 e P5, è stata una delle case che, insieme a Nokia e la stessa Motorola, ha contribuito allo sviluppo della telefonia cellulare nel nostro paese e pur non essendo più presente ufficialmente in Italia continua la produzione in Giappone. Proprio per il carrier NTT DoCoMo esce questo smartphone dalle caratteristiche molto interessanti: display da 4,3 pollici 1280×720, processore dual-core da 1 GHz, 1 Gb di RAM, fotocamera da 8.1 Mpx, 4 Gb di memoria interna, Bluetooth 4.0, Tuner TV, NFC e batteria da 1400 mAh. La versione di android è Gingerbread 2.3.6; non è prevista la commercializzazione fuori dai confini asiatici, almeno per ora.

NEC Medias ES N-05D, the world thinnest Android phone

When, last autumn, Motorola launched the new RAZR, has started the race to the “minimum thickness” as possible for a mobile device even if choices are not fully convincing as the non-removable battery one (only for launching MAXX version,  triggering the disappointment of those who had purchased the first version). Producers have been thrown in pursuit and today I present you what is, without fear of contradiction, with only 6.7 mm thickness, at least for now, the thinnest Android smartphone in the world: NEC ES Medias N-05D, very long name compared to the reduced thickness. NEC, with models P4 and P5, was one of the houses, along with Nokia and Motorola, that has contributed to the development of mobile phones in our country and, despite is not officially present in Italy, continues the production in Japan. Just for NTT DoCoMo carrier comes this smartphone very interesting specs: 1280×720 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8.1-megapixel camera, 4 GB of internal memory, Bluetooth 4.0, Tuner TV, NFC and 1400 mAh battery. The Android version is Gingerbread 2.3.6; it is not expected to be sold outside the borders of Asia, at least for now.
