Come tutti sapete sta per arrivare in libreria l’autobiografia ufficiale di Steve Jobs, genio dell’elettronica e proprietario di Apple, morto un paio di settimane fa. Fra gli innumerevoli episodi riportati nel libro uno in particolare rende l’idea di cosa pensasse Mr. Jobs a proposito di Android e ci fa anche capire il perchè delle innumerevoli denuncie di Apple nei confronti dei dispositivi con l’OS di Mountain View. Mr. Jobs dichiarò di essere pronto ad utilizzare fino all’ultimo centesimo dei 40 miliardi di $ di Apple per distruggere Android e rimediare così al furto di idee da parte di Google, dicendosi scherzosamente pronto alla guerra nucleare se ci fosse stato bisogno. In un incontro con Eric Schmidt, che prima di diventare CEO di Google faceva parte del consiglio di amministrazione di Apple, in un bar di Palo Alto per cercare un accordo, Jobs disse che neanche un’offerta di 5 milioni di $ sarebbe servita per fargli cambiare idea sulle  denunce ma solo la certezza che Google avrebbe smesso di copiare i progetti e le idee Apple che, secondo Jobs, sarebbero stati utilizzate sul Nexus One di HTC. Io non ho la certezza di chi abbia copiato per primo ma vedendo le “novità” di iOS5 i dubbi sono tanti…..

Steve Jobs claimed to be ready for the thermonuclear war in order to destroy Android

As you all know is about to arrive in bookstores the official autobiography of Steve Jobs,  electronics genius and Apple’s owner, died a couple of weeks ago. Among the many episodes in the book one in particular gives an idea of ​​what Mr. Jobs thought about Android and also makes us understand why many of the Apple complaints against devices with the Mountain View OS. Mr. Jobs said he was ready to use every penny of the Apple’s 40 billion $ to destroy Android and so deal with the theft of ideas from Google, saying jokingly ready for nuclear war if we were needed. “I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong … I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.

“I don’t want your money. If you offer me $5 billion, I won’t want it. I’ve got plenty of money. I want you to stop using our ideas in Android, that’s all I want”.
