Il Computex di Taipei inizierà solo fra un paio di giorni ma le presentazioni, come spesso accade, anticipano l’inaugurazione ufficiale. E’ il caso di Acer che ha presentato i nuovi tablet Windows 8; si tratta del W700 e del W 510, indirizzati ad un diverso tipo di utenza: professionale la prima, consumer la seconda. Il primo è un 11,6 pollici con display full HD 1920×1080 e multitouch fino a dieci tocchi contemporaneamente. La dotazione prevede anche una batteria che garantisce fino ad otto ore di autonomia, tre prese USB 3.0, presa Thunderbolt e uscita Micro HDMI e sistema Dolby Home Theater per l’audio. E’ possibile utilizzarlo in posizione verticale grazie ad un craddle studiato appositamente e, nel caso, può essere accoppiato alla sua tastiera via Bluetooth per diventare un perfetto netbook. Non mancano la fotocamera da 5 Mpx posteriore e quella anteriore per le videochiamate. Il W510 ha un display IPS da 10,1 pollici e la tastiera staccabile inclusa che, come per il Padfone di Asus, è dotato di una batteria aggiuntiva che permette di arrivare fino a 18 ore di autonomia. Anche in questo caso prevista una porta MicroUSB + una USB 2.0 sulla tastiera, uscita Micro HDMI e connettore proprietario. Non si conoscono ancora i prezzi e la data di arrivo sui mercati.

Acer presents new Win 8 tablets: W700 (11,6″) and W510 (10,6″), ready for Taipei Computex

Taipei Computex will only start in a couple of days but the presentations, as often happens, they anticipate the official opening day. It ‘s the case of Acer that has unveiled the new Windows 8 tablets; it is the W700 and W 510, routed to a different type of users: professional the first, consumer the second. The first is a 11.6-inch up to ten simultaneous touches multitouch display full HD 1920×1080. It also includes a battery that provides up to eight hours of life, three USB 3.0 ports,  Thunderbolt connection, Micro HDMI output and Dolby Home Theater audio. It can be used in vertical position thanks to a craddle specifically designed and, in the case, can be coupled to its keyboard via Bluetooth to become a perfect netbook. It doesn’t miss the 5 megapixel rearcamera  and front for video calls. The W510 has a 10.1-inch IPS display and the detachable keyboard is included, as the Asus Padfone, comes with an extra battery that allows up to 18 hours of battery life. In this case too we find a MicroUSB + an extra USB 2.0 on the keyboard, Micro HDMI and proprietary connector. Do not yet know the price and date of arrival in the markets.
