L’uscita di un nuovo dispositivo o di una nuova versione di Sistema Operativo quasi mai è scevra da problemi o bug; è il caso della nuova applicazione Maps inclusa in iOS 6 e che troveremo nel nuovo iPhone5 out of the box. Le problematiche sono diverse e riguardano (negli States) indicazioni carenti, interi distretti mancanti e una lentezza generale di funzionamento. Apple ha già garantito interventi in tempi brevi e sembra che per ridurli al minimo indispensabile stia pensando all’assunzione dei membri dello staff che a suo tempo lavorò allo sviluppo di Google Maps, presente fino all’ultima versione di iOS (5.1.1). Nell’attesa la community si sta organizzando e nel video dopo il break potrete vedere un primo porting di GMaps su iOS6; ci sono ancora dei problemi da risolvere ma siamo solo all’inizio.

For “Maps” issues Cupertino is thinking to recruit ex Google Maps staff members

The release of a new device or a new version of OS is hardly ever free from problems or bugs; it is the case of the new app Maps included in iOS 6 and that we will find in the new iPhone5 out of the box. The problems are different and are (in the U.S.) claims lacking, entire districts missing and a general slowness of working. Apple has already secured work in a short time and it seems that to reduce them to a minimum is thinking to recruit staff members who worked at Google Maps development, included until the latest version of iOS (5.1.1). In the meantime the community is organizing itself and in the video below you can see a first port of GMaps of iOS6; there are still problems to be solved but we are only at the beginning.
