La connessione LTE si avvia a diventare una specie di standard per quanto riguarda lo scambio dati ad alta velocità con la rete web; anche in Italia, anche se con molto ritardo, stanno cominciando le prime prove e si spera che per la fine dell’anno si possa disporre di una buona copertura. Visto il rapido sviluppo nel resto del mondo, le case produttrici stanno presentando molti dispositivi dotati di tale modulo radio ed anche LG non è da meno. La casa coreana ha annunciato il tablet Optimus Pad LTE il quale, a differenza del predecessore, ha abbandonato la tecnologia 3D (segnale importante di come, forse, ci sia ancora da lavorare molto in questo ambito) per privilegiare l’aspetto HD. Il nuovo Optimus Pad, infatti, ha un display IPS da 8,9 pollici 1280×720 ed una fotocamera sola, da 8 Mpx. La dotazione è quella tipica dei tablet di questa fascia: uscita HDMI, processore dual-core da 1,5 GHz, DLNA, Honeycomb 3.2 (???), batteria da 6800 mAh e slot per MicroSD.
