Non è ancora disponibile per l’acquisto ma il Nexus Seven, che nella foto vediamo in mano a Hugo Barra, Direttore del settore management dei prodotti Google, ha già stabilito un primo record: è oggetto della denuncia di Nokia in merito ad alcuni brevetti infranti riguardanti la connessione wi-fi. Sembra che, almeno secondo quanto riportato dai dirigenti della casa finlandese, Asus e Google non abbiano richiesto le licenze d’uso dei brevetti detenuti da Nokia e relativi alla connessione wi-fi del nuovo tablet e li abbiano utilizzati come se fossero free. Nokia ha annunciato che non darà luogo a nessuna denuncia o richiesta di blocco delle vendite del tablet di Mountain View a patto che le sia riconosciuto il corrispettivo in denaro per ogni esemplare venduto; un po’ quello che succede fra Microsoft ed HTC per alcuni brevetti made in Redmond utilizzati dalla casa taiwanese sui suoi dispositivi Android.

Nexus Seven unleashes angryness (and claims) from Nokia

It is not yet available for purchase but the Nexus Seven, which we see in the picture in the hands of Hugo Barra, Director of the Google product management, has already established a first record: it is complained by Nokia for some wi-fi connection infringed patents. It seems that, at least as reported by the leaders of the Finnish, Asus and Google didn’t require licenses of patents owned by Nokia and related to wi-fi of the new tablet, and have used them as if they were free. Nokia has announced that it will not give rise to any complaint or request to block sales of the tablet from Mountain View, provided it is recognized the charge for each copy sold; a little ‘what’s going on between Microsoft and HTC for some patents made in Redmond used from Taiwanese manufacter on its Android devices.
