Lo so, lo so… Non è una più novità visto che è stato presentato quasi un anno fa all’IFA di Berlino e, dopo l’arrivo dei quad-core, neanche tanto evoluto dal punto di vista Hw. Ma, sicuramente, il design del Sony Tablet S è l’unico che ha saputo distinguersi in mezzo alle centinaia di tablet Android praticamente tutti uguali fra loro. Complice la vendita a condizioni molto vantaggiose del mio “vecchio” Acer Iconia Tab A500, negli ultimi due giorni mi sono guardato in giro alla ricerca di un degno sostituto; il primo pensiero è andato, ovviamente, al Transformer Prime di cui i nostro Ivan (aka Ivanzeta73) e la coppia Giulia (aka Gugart) & Matteo ci hanno parlato qualche settimana fa ma, fatti due conti (599€) ed analizzato il tipo di utilizzo che ne avrei fatto, ho pensato che un quad-core non mi sarebbe servito. L’avvenuto aggiornamento ad Ice Cream Sandwich mi ha fatto prendere in esame il primo Transformer (TF101) ma alla fine il suo stile unico mi ha fatto scegliere questo Sony complice anche l’ottima offerta che ho trovato da MediaWorld: 378€ per la versione Wi-Fi da 32 Gb con il “craddle” originale Sony compreso. Le caratteristiche sono quelle dei tablet della scorsa generazione: processore dual-core Tegra 2 da 1 GHz, 1 Gb di RAM, display da 9,4 pollici TruBlack (molto luminoso), Honeycomb 3.2 con aggiornamento ad ICS previsto per il prossimo mese di Aprile (me lo ha garantito un direttore Sony presente nello store), fotocamera posteriore da 5 Mpx con registrazione video a 720p. 30 fps, batteria da 5000 mAh, presa miniUSB, slot microSD. Sony è intervenuta abbastanza pesantemente con la customizzazione arrivando a dotare il tablet anche di porta infrarossi che lo trasforma in un telecomando gigante capace di controllare praticamente tutto; molto bella, a prima vista, la tastiera virtuale che include il tastierino numerico separato come quella dei PC. Se lo riterrete interessante, proprio perchè non è più una novità, procederò agli usuali test; aspetto i vostri suggerimenti.

The occured upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich made ​​me consider the first Transformer (TF101) but its unique style made ​​me choose this Sony also because the great deal I found to MediaWorld: 378 € for the Wi-Fi 32 GB version with original Sony “craddle” included .
