Nella giornata di apertura del MWC di Barcellona, l’attenzione degli addetti ai lavori (tra i quali io e Lucio) è stata monopolizzata dalla presentazione dei nuovi Lumia 520 e 720 condotta direttamente da Stephen Elop, CEO di Nokia. Alla fine dell’evento Elop si è concesso ai giornalisti delle maggiori testate mondiali (ma qui io e Lucio non siamo stati ammessi :-D) ed ha rilasciato la dichiarazione che potete leggere nel titolo; secondo il CEO la domanda di Lumia 920 ha superato tutte le previsione creando anche qualche problema ai reparti produttivi che hanno dovuto aumentare gli esemplari in costruzione. L’intenzione di Nokia, confermata anche durante la presentazione, è di dividere il mercato in due zone distinte: la prima con i paesi cosidetti “emergenti” sui quali immettere dispositivi di fascia medio-bassa, la seconda destinata a ricevere i prodotti high-end. Elop ha anche dichiarato che l’esperienza business di Nokia, al momento attuale, ha superato quella di BlackBerry, ma che ritiene la piattaforma il segno distintivo dei dispositivi finlandesi e che Windows Phone potrebbe diventare il più grande OS del mondo. Stephen Elop: “WP could be the biggest OS in the world”

In the opening day of the MWC in Barcelona, ​​the attention of the experts (including me and Lucio) has been monopolized by the presentation of the new Lumia 520 and 720 directly managed by Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia. At the end of the event Elop has granted to major worldwide newspapers journalists (but here me and Lucio we were not allowed :-D) and made ​​the statement that you can read in the title; according to the CEO, the demand for Lumia 920 has passed all forecast also creating some problems with the production department that had to increase the specimens under construction. The intention of Nokia, also confirmed during the presentation, is to divide the market into two distinct areas: the first with countries so-called “emerging” on which input medium-low devices, the second for high-end products. Elop also said that Nokia business experience, to date, has surpassed the BlackBerry one, but he believes that the platform is  the finnish devices hallmark and that Windows Phone OS could become the biggest in the world.
