Ieri si è svolto a New York un importante evento organizzato da Sprint, uno dei quattro maggiori networks americani, per l’annuncio di un nuovo dispositivo molto originale. Si tratta del Kyocera Echo, che presenta la soluzione del doppio display, ognuno WVGA high resolution da 3,5 pollici. Può essere usato come unico schermo da 4,7 pollici oppure con applicazioni diverse su ognuno dei due. Di tutto rispetto le caratteristiche tecniche: Android 2.2 FroYo, Wi-Fi hot spot, processore Snapdragon da 1GHz, fotocamera da 5 Mpx, registrazione HD a 720p., memoria interna da 1Gb accoppiata a memory card da 8Gb, batteria da 1370mAh, connessione 4G WiMax. ovviamente non lo vedremo mai dalle nostre parti. KYOCERA ECHO DUAL DISPLAY PRESENTED FROM SPRINT YESTERDAY IN NEW YORK

Yesterday, in New York, we had an important Sprint event, one of the four most important american networks, to announce a new original device. It is the Kyocera Echo which present the dual display solution, each one WVGA high resolution 3,5″. It can be used as 4,7″ unique display or with different apps on each display. Very interesting specs: Android OS 2.2 FroYo, WiFi b/g, hotspot, 5mp camera, 720p camcorder, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB onboard memory, packed with an 8bg microSD card, 1370mAh battery, Wimax 4G connection data. I ragazzi di Engadget, presenti all’evento Google di ieri, hanno avuto la possibilità di provare un modello completamente funzionante del nuovo tablet di Motorola, con una versione quasi definitiva della nuova versione del sistema operativo Android, Honeycomb, ottimizzato per i tablet! Swiftkey, la famosa tastiera predittiva per dispositivi Android, sta per ricevere un nuovo importante aggiornamento da parte di Touchtype, la casa ideatrice. La nuova versione, studiata insieme a Google e Motorola, sarà ottimizzata per la nuova versione di Android, Honeycomb, specifica per i tablet. Divisa in tre sezioni, lettere a sinistra e destra, numeri al centro per rendere la scrittura ancora più veloce se utilizzata solo con i pollici. La nuova versione di Swiftkey sarà presentata al prossimo Wmc di Barcellona, rilasciata sul Motorola Xoom e poi, progressivamente resa disponibile anche per gli altri tablet Honeycomb. SWIFT KEY HONEYCOMB TABLET VERSION IS COMING

Swiftkey, the famous predictive keaboard for Android devices, is going to get an important update from TouchType, the creator. New version, projected with Google and Motorola, will be optimized for the new Android version, Honeycomb, specificatly for tablets. It is divided in three sections, letters on left and right, numbers on the middle for making thw write much fast if used only with thumbs. Ecco una notizia che, se fosse confermata anche dalla direzione italiana di Vodafone farebbe la felicità di tutti i potenziali clienti che sono in attesa di acquistare il Nexus S in forma ufficiale. Dall’annuncio pubblicitario che potete vedere in foto, e da quanto riportato dal forum tedesco Mobiflip,  sembra che il Nexus S avrà il display superAMOLED come le versioni americane ed inglesi al posto del superLCD annunciato. Per adesso non ci sono altre informazioni ma speriamo che la notizia valga anche per il nostro paese.

VODAFONE GERMANY ANNOUNCES NEXUS S WITH SUPERAMOLED DISPLAY

Here it is one new wich, if confirmed from Vodafone Italy too, will make happy those potential customers that are waiting for getting the Nexus S officially. From the banner you can see on the picture, and from what is reported on german blog Mobiflip, it does seem Nexus S will be equipped with a superAMOLED display like american and english versions instead of the announced superLCD. There are no further informations for now but we hope the new will hold for Italy too.

Sta diventando una consuetudine: le foto che ritraggono i nuovi modelli di smartphones provengono dai posto più inusuali. Quello che è ritratto in queste foto è un modello HTC fotografato nelle mani di un ragazzo nella metropolitana di Taipei. E’ chiaramente un modello di preserie e lo si può notare dal numero che si vede nella parte bassa. Le linee sembrano quelle del Thunderbolt presentato allo scorso CES di LAs Vegas ma non ha tasti fisici ed è presente una fotocamera frontale. Lo vedremo al prossimo WMC di Barcellona?

UNKNOWN HTC DEVICE SHOOT LEAKS ON SUBWAY

It is becoming a habit: pictures of new smartphone models come from unusual places. The one is in these pictures has been photographed on young guy hands on Taipei subway. It is clearly a pre series model and you can note from the telltale serial number on the button. Its lines look like that Thunderbolt presented at the last Las Vegas CES but it has not buttons and it has a front facing camera. We will see it at the next Barcelona WMC?

Dopo l’articolo del nostro Capo, torniamo a parlare ancora una volta di LG. Il manifesto che vedete qui sotto si riferisce all’evento organizzato dalla casa coreana in occasione del WMC di Barcellona; se interpretiamo correttamente quanto riportato sul poster possiamo solo pensare che LG presenterà il suo primo dispositivo con schermo 3D. Non sarebbe una novità assoluta (allo scorso CES di Las Vegas Sharp ha presentato il suo Galapagos) ma un’eventuale “Optimus 3D” potrebbe già essere inserito nei listini di un operatore olandese. Noi di batista70 phone saremo a Barcellona e non mancheremo di tenervi aggiornati anche su questo fantomatico dispositivo 3D di LG. Stay tuned.

LG WILL SHOW “THIRD DIMENSION” IN BARCELONA?

After the article wrote from our Boss, we talk another time about LG. The poster you can see above is about an event planned from korean factory for Barcelona WMC; if we guess correctly what is reported on the poster we can only think that LG will present its first 3D device. It wouldn’t be the world premiere (at last Las Vegas CES Sharp has presented its Galapagos) but a possible “Optimus 3D” could be added on a Dutch retailer list. Batista70phone team will be in Barcelona and we will keep you update on this possible 3D LG device. Stay tuned.
